Troubleshooting Guide

Common operational anomalies and recommended engineering interventions.

air

Air Handling Units (KLIMARC)

Check and replace clogged air filters. Inspect fan blades, motor belts, and ensure dampers are not blocked. Verify VFD (Variable Frequency Drive) settings if applicable.
Clear clogged condensate drain lines. Ensure the unit is properly leveled and the drain trap is correctly dimensioned to overcome negative pressure.
Inspect the rotor and blower wheel for imbalance or damage. Check for worn bearings, loose mounting hardware, or frayed belts.

Ecology Units & Kitchen Hoods (KVENT)

Inspect baffle or grease filters for severe clogging. Clean or replace immediately. Check for broken fan belts or duct obstructions. Verify the exhaust fan motor is running in the correct rotation direction.
Carbon media filters may be saturated and require replacement. Ensure all pre-filters are properly seated so grease does not bypass the filtration stages.
Ensure exhaust fans are operating correctly to remove heat. Check if cooking equipment was left on without the exhaust fan running. Clean heat links of excess grease buildup.
electric_bolt

General Electrical & Control

The motor's thermal overload protection is tripping. Check for blocked airflow causing overheating, verify correct voltage supply, and ensure the motor amperage does not exceed Full Load Amps (FLA).
Verify the main service disconnect and wall switches are ON. Check the breaker panel for tripped circuits. For 3-phase systems, ensure there is no phase loss from the utility provider.
